Naval RPG Sea of Remnants to be released in early 2027 - closed beta starts in December

The project is being prepared for release on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.

NetEase Games and Joker Studio presented a new trailer for the free-to-play Sea of Remnants and clarified the release dates. The naval fantasy RPG will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, iOS, and Android in early 2027.

The main character will be a doll-like sailor who has lost his memory. Together with his crew, he will explore an open world, land on mysterious islands, and search for people, stories, and memories swallowed by the sea. On land, players will face turn-based battles, while during voyages, they will fight enemy ships and huge sea monsters.

Each journey is built on roguelike principles. Routes, enemies, bosses, equipment, and enhancements will change from expedition to expedition, so the team composition and tactics will have to be re-selected. After returning to the port city of Orbtopia, players will be able to upgrade their ship, develop relationships with characters, and influence the settlement's development.

It will be possible to recruit new crew members, including during weekly voyages. For completing them, players are guaranteed a rare character or signature weapon without the need to spend premium currency.

The closed beta testing of Sea of Remnants will begin in December 2026. The exact dates and list of available platforms will be announced by the developers later. Pre-registration is already open on the official website.
