Publisher NetEase Games and studio Naked Rain have announced the exact release date and revealed a new trailer for Ananta. The free-to-play urban RPG will arrive on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android on January 15, 2027.
The project has already been dubbed "anime-GTA" for its anime aesthetic and abundance of possibilities. The action will unfold in two open cities: Nova City and Lingyun. Players will have to travel between cities and deal with anomalous and supernatural occurrences.
Throughout the adventure, the player will meet over a hundred characters with their own stories and quests. Some of them can be recruited into the team, and players can switch between heroes. In battles, heroes use martial arts, supernatural abilities, and surrounding objects as weapons.
You can move around the streets by car and motorcycle, skateboard, or using ropes in the style of Marvel's Spider-Man, and in your free time, you can go to cinemas, arcades, cafes, and gyms.
Pre-registration is already open on the official website, Google Play, and the App Store. Ananta can be added to your wishlist on Steam.
