Nvidia Showcases Tides of Annihilation with Advanced Ray Tracing
Eclipse Glow Games has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Tides of Annihilation, demonstrating the game exclusively with active full path tracing and DLSS 4.5 for the first time.
Eclipse Glow Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Tides of Annihilation, showcasing the capabilities of full path tracing and Nvidia's DLSS 4.5.
The developers opted out of the usual comparison of graphics with disabled effects and instead showed the game exclusively with active real-time ray tracing. Thanks to accurate light and shadow simulation, the grim locations look significantly more impressive.
The battle with a powerful boss is particularly impressive. Magical attacks and energy beams create vivid reflections on the environment. DLSS 4.5 is expected to maintain a smooth and stable frame rate even in large-scale battles.
The trailer demonstrates the later stages of the game and the Knights system, which allows Gwendolyn to change her combat style. One of them is the Lancelot style, based on quick sword strikes, swift dashes towards groups of enemies, and defensive techniques.
Tides of Annihilation is a modern interpretation of the legends of King Arthur. The main character is a contemporary woman who finds herself at the center of an invasion from another dimension.
