"We're Nervous": Rockstar Head Admits Team Wants to Make GTA VI Perfect

The GTA 6 team is "nervous" before the release and wants to perfect the game, said Rockstar North head Rob Nelson.

After the 26-minute Extended Look demonstration, Rockstar studio received a lot of positive feedback, but the studio is not going to relax. When Nelson was asked about the pressure surrounding the game, he laughingly replied: "No pressure."

I try not to think about it. Of course, you know about it. But I think we just need to try to do what we think develops what we've done before, evolves, while maintaining a familiar feel.

According to Nelson, the internal pressure within the team is much stronger than the external pressure:

It's a tough thing. Whatever pressure we feel from the outside, I don't think it compares to the pressure we put on ourselves as a team. Everyone wants everything to be perfect. We're nervous! Of course, we're nervous, but we're also looking forward to people's reactions to this video and ultimately to the game.

Nelson also called the scale of GTA VI "definitely a step forward in every way" for the studio. The game will be released on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
