CD Projekt RED quietly raised the price of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition amid remaster announcement

The remaster itself will be free, but only if you own the complete edition of the third "Witcher."

CD Projekt RED, without any announcements or fanfare, has increased the price of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition on Steam.

The price of the edition rose from $39.99 to $49.99. The increase occurred amid the announcement of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, scheduled for release on September 29.

Notably, owners of the original game will not have to purchase the remaster separately. On supported platforms, the updated version will be available as a free upgrade for those who have already purchased The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will feature improved graphics, a smoother combat system, revamped animations, and a host of other changes designed to enhance the 2015 hit.
