Netflix has released the trailer for the second season of the animated series "Stranger Things: Tales from '85". The continuation will consist of eight half-hour episodes and will be released on the service on September 17.
The events of the second season will unfold on the eve of Valentine's Day. Hawkins will face ghostly phenomena and a swarm of mysterious creatures, against which even Eleven is powerless. The heroes will have to find out their origin before new gates to the Upside Down open in the town.
Showrunner Eric Robles also promised to show previously unknown locations in Hawkins. One of the new locations will be a mine that has not been explored before, neither in the main series nor in the first season of the spin-off:
"The most interesting thing is that we're going to go somewhere we haven't been before. There's a mine in Hawkins that we haven't explored yet."
The animated series takes place between the second and third seasons of the original "Stranger Things". Eleven has already closed the gate at Hawkins Lab, but there are still several months until the opening of Starcourt Mall and the appearance of the Soviet base.
