Action game about predatory wheeled fortresses received an award before release - a demo is already available on Steam
Wanderburg attracted a lot of attention.
Studio Randwerk and publisher Sidekick Publishing participated in Gamescom. They brought the game Wanderburg, which they are preparing to release soon on PC via Steam.
Wanderburg was awarded "Most Entertaining" (recognized as the "most engaging" game).
From a gameplay perspective, it's a minimalistic roguelike set in a medieval world: mobile fortresses of various shapes and sizes move across the land – they are capable of devouring each other:
Castles hunt, villages flee. And in the end, only the largest stronghold survives. What starts as a humble castle on wheels transforms with each run into a growing, all-consuming siege engine that changes the battlefield.
Players will have to roll forward and absorb other fortresses. Gradually, the arsenal will expand: you can install cannons, mage towers, and more. Between runs, players will be able to unlock modules and vehicles.
You can add Wanderburg to your Steam wishlist by following this link. The game's release is scheduled for September 8, 2026, in early access, and a demo is already available.
