NetEase Games and Everstone Studio announced that the audience of the action RPG Where Winds Meet has exceeded 100 million players worldwide. The project reached this milestone ten months after its global release in November 2025. This statistic includes users of the Chinese version, which was released at the end of 2024.

Along with the announcement, the developers presented a trailer for the final update, Hidden Mountain, which will be released on September 16. Players will finally meet Qianye, the culprit behind the destruction of the protagonist's home and the abduction of his loved ones. The third chapter will also add two special opponents, two world bosses, and new activities.
Even earlier, on September 3, the Bamboo Cut — Draught combat style will appear in Where Winds Meet, inspired by Jackie Chan's drunken master films. Yuen Woo-ping, choreographer of "The Matrix" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," served as a combat staging consultant.
Other announcements include an extraction mode, where players can either fight openly or act stealthily, stealing treasures and avoiding direct confrontations, as well as the Ghost Month event, which will combine traditional Chinese beliefs and urban legends with horror elements.
