Captain Tsubasa 2 Reaches Release - Sequel Receives Higher Ratings

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters was released several years after the first installment, and its average Metacritic score increased from 72% to 76%.

Football games have existed almost since the industry's inception, and Bandai Namco managed to offer an unusual approach with Captain Tsubasa. The game combined football with RPG elements, reminiscent of Inazuma Eleven, but offered its own mechanics.

Now, after several years of waiting, a full-fledged sequel to the 2020 project has been released. The initial reviews have been positive: Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters received 76% on Metacritic compared to 72% for the original.

Along with the release, the developers presented a new trailer showcasing spectacular football matches and hero abilities.

The game is now available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
