The full-length continuation of the sports anime "Medalist" will be released in Japanese cinemas on February 19, 2027. The creators announced the premiere date in a new teaser trailer and unveiled the film's poster.
The film will continue the events of the second season. After winning the Chubu regional tournament, Inori Yuitsuka and her coach Tsukasa Akeuraji receive a ticket to the All-Japan Junior Figure Skating Tournament. There, Inori will face her main rival, the reigning champion Hikaru Kamisaki, for the first time.
The team behind the series is working on the full-length "Medalist." Production is once again handled by Studio ENGI. Yasutaka Yamamoto is directing, Jukki Hanada wrote the screenplay, Chinatsu Kameyama is responsible for character design and animation direction, and Yuki Hayashi composed the music.
The date for the international premiere and digital release on Disney+, where both seasons were released, has not yet been announced.
