NERDS TAKE OVER studio has released the gothic action RPG Tearscape on Android and iOS. This is a two-dimensional top-down adventure with pixel graphics in the spirit of classic Game Boy Color games. The world design of the project resembles classic two-dimensional The Legend of Zelda and Metroidvanias, while the gothic atmosphere, monster design, and main character allude to Bloodborne.
Players take control of a hunter exploring a large interconnected world with dungeons, branching paths, and hidden passages. In combat, you have to monitor stamina, time your attacks and dodges, and conserve a limited supply of healing flasks. By defeating enemies and bosses, the hero improves characteristics and expands their arsenal.
In dungeons, you can find tools and abilities that help deal with stronger enemies and open the way to previously inaccessible areas. During the journey, the hunter also meets characters ready to give advice or a quest, but some of them have their own hidden motives.
The mobile version of Tearscape supports achievements, cloud saves, and gamepad control. The game can also be played in local co-op on one device, but this will require connecting two controllers.
Tearscape was originally released on Steam on February 2, 2026. Since then, users have left over 330 reviews, 90% of which are positive. In the Russian Google Play, the game costs 699 rubles, and in the App Store – 899 rubles.
