Fable Campaign Playtime and Side Content Completion Revealed
Recently, Fable's game director gave an interview to Polygon. During the conversation with the media, Will Kennedy mentioned the game's duration.
According to the developer, completing the main storyline can take an average of 15 to 20 hours. If the player also completes side quests and explores open-world content, approximately 15-20 hours can be added to the total playtime.
For comparison, completing the main story in previous Fable franchise installments also took about 12-15 hours, and clearing the main game and side content could take about 20-26 hours. 100% completion required 30-50 hours.
Will also stated that players can spend as much time as they want in Fable:
And, of course, the life simulation system has no limits, so you can play with it as much as you want.
One of the Q&A session participants expressed the opinion that Fable is “not such a massive game.” Playground Games Assistant Game Director Craig Littler reacted to this and noted:
As Will just said: you can literally play this game indefinitely if you want to.
You can add Fable to your Steam wishlist here. The regular release is scheduled for February 23, 2027, but owners of the Premium Edition will receive digital bonuses and premium early access — they will be able to start playing five days earlier.
The new Fable will be available not only on PC but also on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles.
