Tomb Raider Developers Have Big Plans: Remakes of Second and Third Parts Already in the Works - Rumor

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis hasn't even been released yet, but there are already reports of remakes of Tomb Raider 2 and Tomb Raider 3 being developed.

Lara Croft will return next year in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. This remake is expected to pave the way for a new installment in the series – Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which is presumably set to be released in 2028.

However, the developers' plans for the heroine might be much grander. According to PlayStation Inside on X, remakes of Tomb Raider 2 and Tomb Raider 3 are already in development – even before the release of the new version of the first game.

The source of the information is allegedly connected to the Flying Wild Hog studio, which is working on Legacy of Atlantis alongside Crystal Dynamics.

However, this rumor should be treated with caution: the fate of the projects will likely depend on the commercial success of the already announced games.
