Gal Gadot admitted that at this stage of her life, she would hardly agree to play Wonder Woman again. The main reason the actress cited was her family: prolonged blockbuster filming would force her to leave her four children for a long time.
"I'm not sure I would agree to do another 'Wonder Woman' now. I have four children, they go to different schools and all that. For filming, I would have to be out of their lives for a long time, and at this stage, that doesn't suit me anymore."
Gadot also recalled how, early in her career, she asked Kate Winslet how she managed to combine work with raising three children. In response, the actress said: "You either do it or you don't. And both options are fine."
The new Wonder Woman film is in the early stages of development. The script is being written by "Supergirl" writer Ana Nogueira, a director has not yet been chosen, and casting will only begin after the script is completed, as James Gunn previously emphasized. Therefore, the name of the new actress to play Diana is still unknown.
Gal Gadot, apparently, will not return to the project. The actress previously stated that she had not even discussed participation in the new cinematic universe with DC Studios executives and wished good luck to the next Wonder Woman.
Some insiders named Adria Arjona, who will appear in the "Superman" sequel "Man of Tomorrow," among possible contenders. However, according to the latest data, she will still play Maxima. DC Studios has not yet confirmed this information, but Gunn previously denied the appearance of Wonder Woman in the film.
