Helldivers 2 to Add New Enemies, Missions, and Battle Passes - 2026 Update Roadmap Revealed

Developers have planned a series of updates.

The Arrowhead Game Studios team recently unveiled the update roadmap for the co-op shooter Helldivers 2. On it, the developers outlined their main plans until the end of 2026.

September will bring Update 7.1 – a new Warbond (the local battle pass) will be introduced to the game, along with "two new rewards."

For October, the creators of Helldivers 2 have planned the release of Update 7.2 – they are preparing a battle pass, new missions, a "new enemy," a biome, a Galactic War-related event, some reward, and intend to celebrate Freedom Day.

In December, the Helldivers 2 developers are preparing to release the next big update, currently known as "Update 8.0," and there is only a blurry teaser image. No details about its content are available at this time.

Previously, Helldivers 2 had crossovers with the Halo and Warhammer 40,000 franchises. Now players are suggesting that the Arrowhead Game Studios team contact Electronic Arts to prepare content for another sci-fi franchise – they want to see a battle pass with Mass Effect-style gear.
