Yesterday, Deadline reported that Noah Jupe has joined the cast of "Avengers: Secret Wars." The "A Quiet Place" star was cast in a secret but plot-critical role, leading fans to immediately speculate which character Marvel Studios entrusted him with.
One of the most popular theories suggests he will play an adult Franklin Richards, the son of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Some fans even noted Jupe's physical resemblance to Pedro Pascal, who played Reed Richards. Now, the theory has gained another indirect argument: according to Jupe's Letterboxd profile, the actor has watched "Fantastic Four: First Steps" three times recently. While he rated many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he inexplicably left the film about the Richards family unrated.
In "First Steps," Franklin appeared as an infant, so his transformation into the 21-year-old Jupe would require a time jump or another plot explanation. In the comics, the character can create and alter entire realities and plays a significant role in Jonathan Hickman's 2015 "Secret Wars." Therefore, Franklin is well-suited for the story of the Multiverse's destruction and subsequent restoration, which will unfold in "Avengers: Doctor Doom" and "Avengers: Secret Wars."
"Avengers: Secret Wars" is set to premiere on December 17, 2027 – one year after the release of "Avengers: Doctor Doom."
