Insider Daniel Richtman reported that Jeremy Renner will return as Clint Barton in the film "Avengers: Secret Wars." Interestingly, just a couple of days ago, the actor himself fueled the rumors by posting a photo of the Hawkeye costume set to the track "Avengers x Hawkeye."
The post coincided with the start of additional filming for "Avengers: Doctor Doom." According to Richtman, the Russo brothers are using these reshoots, among other things, to film numerous new cameos. However, it is not yet known whether Renner will be among them: the insider only speaks of his participation in "Secret Wars."
Yet, back in October 2025, Renner claimed he would not be filming either "Doctor Doom" or "Secret Wars." However, Marvel actors regularly deny their involvement in projects until official announcements, as they are bound by non-disclosure agreements.
"Avengers: Doctor Doom" will be released on December 18, 2026, and "Secret Wars" will premiere on December 17, 2027.
