The creators of "Ao Ashi" have unveiled the main trailer for the second season and announced the exact premiere date. The continuation of the football anime will begin airing on October 4.
In the second season, Ashito Aoi will move from the Tokyo City Esperion's second team to the main youth team. He will have to establish himself in the squad and prove himself in the matches of the Youth Premier League, Japan's strongest youth championship.
TMS Entertainment is now responsible for the production of the second season, replacing Production I.G., which worked on the first part. Kazuki Yokoyama, who participated in the creation of the first season, became the director. Masahiro Yokotani is once again responsible for the series' structure, and Manabu Nakatake returned to character design, joined by Asami Taguchi and Junko Yamanaka. Kenji Iizuka remained the football consultant, Masaru Yokoyama again composed the music, and Shoji Hata served as sound director. Thus, despite the change in production studio, a significant part of the key team has been retained.
The second season will consist of 24 episodes, divided into two cours of 12 episodes each. The duration of the break between them has not yet been announced.
