Mafia: The Old Country received a September patch - developers improved gameplay and took care of fans replaying the game
Main missions and tasks in "Free Ride" mode will now work correctly.
In early September, Hangar 13 studio returned to Mafia: The Old Country and released a September patch for the game. The developers stated that they fixed several technical issues and introduced a number of improvements that will enhance the gameplay.
They also reported that "stability and overall gameplay experience" were improved during races in "Free Ride" mode.
In addition, issues with reward accrual were eliminated, and the behavior of companion characters was improved (sometimes NPCs could fail to perform necessary actions, blocking mission progression).
Some other improvements and changes:
- Fixed bugs leading to geometry glitches (graphical bugs)
- Unlocked outfits, headwear, and hairstyles will now be available when starting a new game.
- Fixed time display in races in "Free Ride" mode
- Fixed interaction icons during story missions
- Various improvements for gameplay stability, AI behavior, and "additional overall game refinement" have been made
This summer, a premium story expansion, Man of Honor, was released for Mafia: The Old Country. Players can help a well-known franchise character, Ennio Salieri, and complete new contracts in "Free Ride" mode:
Sicily, winter 1905. In the months since his initiation, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable fighter for the Torrisi crime family. Now, Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate task: to help Ennio Salieri, a "man of honor" who has recently been released from prison and intends to reclaim what is rightfully his.
