Maya Boyd Showed How She Prepares for the Role of Storm in the New "X-Men"
Reportedly, the heroine might appear as early as in "Avengers: Secret Wars."
Maya Boyd has begun preparing for the role of Storm in the "X-Men" reboot. On her personal account, the actress posted a photo with an impressive stack of comics about Ororo Munroe, including solo series about the heroine, and captioned the picture with "bought them all."
For Boyd, the role of Storm will be her first major film work. Prior to this, the actress performed in theater: she debuted on Broadway in the musical Merrily We Roll Along, and then played the lead role in the production of & Juliet.
However, the debut of the new Storm might happen even before the premiere of "X-Men." Insider Jeff Sneider previously claimed that the heroine would appear in the film "Avengers: Secret Wars," which is set to be released on December 17, 2027.
However, the rumor emerged before the official announcement of the cast, and at that time, the journalist linked the role to Susie Bemba, so it is currently unknown whether Sneider's information applies to Maya Boyd.
Along with Boyd, the team of mutants includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Indi Navarrette as Rogue, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost. The premiere of the new "X-Men" will take place on May 5, 2028.
