Gal Gadot Criticizes DC's Way of "Informing" Her About the Cancellation of the Third "Wonder Woman"

News 0

Gal Gadot stated that DC Studios never directly informed her about the cancellation of the third "Wonder Woman." Initially, the new studio management promised to work on the third film with the actress, but then negotiations simply ceased.

The situation with Henry Cavill helped her understand what was happening. The actor announced his return as Superman after "Black Adam," but soon James Gunn announced a reboot with a different actor, who, as we already know, is David Corenswet. According to Gadot, the studio acted similarly with Patty Jenkins, the director of the first two Wonder Woman films:

"The way Henry and Patty Jenkins were treated was, to say the least, inelegant. That's when I realized what was happening."

At the same time, Gadot does not dispute the new DC management's decision to reboot the cinematic universe, but believes that such decisions could have been communicated to actors and creators more respectfully.

Meanwhile, the new "Wonder Woman" is in early development. The script is being written by "Supergirl" writer Ana Nogueira, the director has not yet been chosen, and casting, according to James Gunn, will begin after the script is completed. The name of the next actress to play Diana is still unknown, but Gal Gadot does not plan to return to the role: at this stage of her life, her priority is her four children.
