Gran Turismo 7 to Get New Tracks, Cars, and Modes - Spec IV Big Update Teaser
Developers are preparing a lot of new content.
Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment recently unveiled a teaser for a Gran Turismo 7 update. The creators of the racing simulator revealed how the franchise's 30th anniversary will be celebrated – a “Spec IV” update is being prepared, with its content divided into two parts:
Next year marks 30 years since the release of the very first Gran Turismo. In preparation for this important milestone, we will release a large free Spec IV update for Gran Turismo 7. It will consist of two parts, the first of which will be released in October, and the second in December 2026.
In October, Gran Turismo 7 will add the new Sportsland SUGO track, six new cars, as well as:
- New Spec IV intro video;
- Vintage: a section with cars unavailable in new condition;
- Auto Concierge: a service for ordering used and legendary cars;
- Experience: a mode with signature challenges for cars of various brands;
- Car View: the ability to admire cars in the garage;
- Increased maximum collection level.
The December update for Grand Turismo 7 will include the Autumn Ring track, six cars, and a new family mode – positioned as “a mode for the whole family, interesting for both children and adults.”
In addition, a “random race” will be available: a race with randomly selected cars; and an online drift event. Experienced players will be able to evaluate a new difficulty level for the Power Pack mode.
