Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 will be without neuro-slop - Saber outlines its AI stance and claims it can acquire any franchise

You can make a game based on any franchise, but not everything pays off - you have to choose carefully.

Saber Interactive acts as the publisher for the Rideshare "Stimulator" project from UNIGINE studio. The developers will use artificial intelligence in the game, which some players dislike, and now they automatically categorize all projects associated with Saber as "neuro-slop."

Saber Interactive Creative Director Tim Willits reassured the community and explained that the main content will be made by humans, while AI will be used in the optional Free Ride mode to create passenger stories:

There is no generative AI at all in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Hellraiser, Stuntman, Turok, Jurassic Park, or Wick. But, as we said, we are going to experiment with AI. We will try it in Rideshare and see if it works. We will see if people like it. If they don't like it, we will say, "Okay."

Currently, Saber Interactive teams are making games based on a wide variety of franchises. In an interview, Tim Willits explicitly stated that the developers "can get access to any intellectual property [franchise]."

He also explained the approach to project selection: if Saber "cannot achieve a fourfold return on investment," the game will not be greenlit.

As an example, he cited SnowRunner. According to Willits, it "was one guy's idea, brought to life by a couple of guys":

It cost us about $6 million and ended up bringing in hundreds of millions. World War Z is also a good example. It was created by a relatively small team, and 32 million people played it. Every expansion for it continues to be successful!"
