PC gamers sound the alarm - Denuvo protection expected in Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake
It seems that the remake decided to implement the infamous DRM protection.
Recently, Ubisoft Entertainment announced Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake. The game's page has already appeared in the Steam store, and nothing seemed amiss, but some players decided to familiarize themselves with the user agreement.
In the document "Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake EULA" in section "3. Product Access", a mention of the infamous protection system – Denuvo – was found:
The product is protected by software technical copyright protection means (DRM software), as well as DENUVO anti-tamper technology. You hereby acknowledge and agree to the following provisions regarding DRM software: (i) installation of the product will also result in the installation of DRM software on your computer; (ii) software copyright protection may limit the number of product installations; (iii)
On the "Heroes 3" remake page in Steam itself, there are no notifications about Denuvo yet. Some players hope that the developers simply used a standard agreement, while others are already criticizing Ubisoft on the forum for inserting Denuvo into a "20-year-old game remake."
