CDPR revealed how many developers are working on The Witcher 3 expansion
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past expansion is being developed by 220 people. This is more than worked on the original game, and the story itself should prepare players for the events of The Witcher IV.
CD Projekt RED has not yet revealed the scale of Songs of the Past or the duration of the adventure, but the team composition is already impressive.
220 developers are currently working on the expansion. Of these, 170 people represent Fool's Theory, another 10 are directly from CD Projekt RED, and about 40 specialists are involved on an outsourcing basis.
For comparison, about 200 developers worked on the original The Witcher 3. This does not mean that the expansion is comparable in size to the full game, as production approaches and team responsibilities may have changed. Nevertheless, the scale of the project looks unusually large for a DLC.

Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED continues to develop other major projects: over 519 people are working on The Witcher 3, 184 on Cyberpunk 2, 84 on Sirius, and 33 developers on Hadar.
