The VideoGamesCritic website, created by Moon Studios head Thomas Mahler, has received a major update. The main new features are tools based on Steam data, reminiscent of SteamDB and SteamCharts capabilities.
Now, each game page has tabs with history. Here you can see changes in the number of concurrent players, the dynamics of the VGC Score, the game's price history, and the volume of user reviews.
Additionally, a new Players tab has been added to the site, allowing users to see what Steam users are playing right now. It shows the current popularity of games, the peak number of players in the last 24 hours, as well as projects that are significantly growing or losing audience compared to the previous week.
A separate Studios Board tab is dedicated to developers. Its task is to identify studios that consistently release high-quality games and have almost no unsuccessful projects.
Another new feature is the Hall of Fame with "Game of the Year" awards. Unlike traditional awards, winners here are determined solely based on real user data.
For future releases, a calendar has appeared in the On the Radar section.
VideoGamesCritic also received a Deals tab, which shows highly-rated games currently available at a discount.
Updated game pages now include information about approximate playtime, screenshots, and trailers. The search system has also been improved.
