FX presented the first video from the set of the second season of "Alien: Earth". The video showcased the sets and confirmed that work on the continuation is underway at Pinewood Studios in London. Filming itself began in July 2026.
According to showrunner Noah Hawley, the second season will be grander and delve deeper into the series' world:
"It's a bigger show with a more detailed exploration of the world. I can't imagine a better place to take on such a challenge. The second season builds on everything the first promised."
In the second season, Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, and other cast members from the first season will return to their roles. Peter Dinklage, Tracy Ullman, Sam Spruell, and Jerome Flynn have also joined the cast. Details about the new characters are being kept under wraps for now, but Hawley has already stated that Dinklage has been cast in a key role.
