Sony failed to gather a million viewers for the new State of Play
Sony's latest State of Play show gathered 982 thousand concurrent viewers, almost three times less than the June edition.
The summer presentation peaked at 3 million concurrent viewers. This time, the maximum was 982 thousand. In the first 24 hours, the September edition garnered 2.9 million views compared to 5.1 million for the June one. The official PlayStation YouTube channel attracted over 304 thousand viewers.
However, YouTube changed its view counting method, so comparing new metrics with old broadcasts is not entirely accurate.
Despite the drop in audience, Sony showcased several major releases. Until Dawn 2 will be released on January 28, 2027, and Final Fantasy VII Revelation will conclude the trilogy on April 8.

After the presentation, Marvel's Wolverine received the most attention, with its trailer accumulating 2 million views. This was followed by videos about the new Resident Evil movie – 1.1 million views, and about the DualSense controller for GTA VI – 997,000 views.
