Steam is heading for a record in 2026: six games brought the platform $1 billion - analysts

Steam has already generated $15 billion in revenue in 2026 and could break last year's record, with six games bringing the platform about $1 billion.

According to Alinea Analytics, Steam has already earned $15 billion – more than in all of 2023. Last year, the platform's revenue allegedly reached $19.9 billion, so a new record is expected in 2026.

About $1 billion of current revenue was provided by six games:

  1. Forza Horizon 6 — $210.5 million
  2. Crimson Desert — $203.3 million
  3. Resident Evil Requiem — $200.9 million
  4. Slay the Spire 2 — $148.4 million
  5. Subnautica 2 — $139.2 million
  6. Meccha Chameleon — $89.8 million

Two indie games stand out in particular. Slay the Spire 2 is still in early access, and Meccha Chameleon is an inexpensive online hide-and-seek game.

Alinea Analytics emphasizes that all data are estimates and may differ from actual figures.
