In September, the creators of the truck driver simulator American Truck Simulator began testing update 1.61, which they had been teasing recently. Everyone is welcome to join the beta.
Developers are testing Proximity Exploration, which will simplify map exploration. Under normal conditions, you need to drive through every piece of road, but when the new function is enabled, the system will automatically mark roads as "explored" in a certain area around the truck. However, to fully uncover secret roads, you will still need to drive on them. The use of this function is optional.
Materials for International LT and International LoneStar trucks have also been improved — their cabins now look more realistic:
A similar update is also being tested for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The developers have not yet announced when they plan to release update 1.61.
No password is required to access the test — you can connect to the "public_beta" branch through the properties of American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 in Steam in the beta versions section.
