A Grim Fairytale Comes to the West: The Grimm Reapress to be Released in 2027

The fairytale adventure from the creators of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince will be released in the West in 2027 on PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC.

NIS America will release the fairytale adventure game The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster on PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam in the West in 2027.

The game is created by the team behind The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero. It will support Japanese voice acting with English subtitles. In Japan, the game was released on April 30, 2026, on PS5, Switch 2, and Switch.

In the game's world, a mysterious disease called Paper Mortis turns people into illustrated books, and books into monsters. The main character, Mono, tries to save her sister, who has contracted the incurable disease. To do this, she must team up with the monster Mair, who is consumed by a thirst for revenge.

Mono will travel to the Libratarium, where her sister is held. Players will explore various fairytale books, learn the stories of the girls who turned into them, solve puzzles, and fight bosses. The game's visual style is hand-drawn and mimics an illustrated book.
