News 0

Crytek, known primarily for the Crysis series and the brutal extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896, has reduced its staff in two of its divisions – in Istanbul, Turkey, and at its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany.

According to Insider Gaming, citing its own sources, an entire quality assurance (QA) team based in Istanbul was affected by the layoffs. Employees were also dismissed from the Frankfurt office, with publishing, social media, and QA departments being most affected by the cuts.

The exact number of employees laid off remains unknown, but according to the publication's sources, at least 30 people lost their jobs. Employees were notified of the layoffs in early September, and the dismissals themselves, according to sources, came as a surprise to them.

Journalists reached out to Crytek for comment but have not yet received a response.
