Battlefield 6 to Rework Maps and Improve Tsuru Reef Breakthrough - Tidal Strike Update Teasers and More
Developers heard feedback and decided to revise the design of several maps.
The Tidal Strike update is planned for release on September 15 for Battlefield 6. Developers are preparing new content for REDSEC, proximity chat, as well as new melee weapons and the in-game event Deep Six: Collection Event.
In addition, changes are being made to Tsuru Reef Breakthrough. After reviewing feedback on the map, the developers decided to adjust the boundaries of capture zones and move some objectives to “help the attacking team establish a foothold and maintain combat momentum.” The map will feature additional routes for flanking attacks and opportunities to use boats to bypass defensive positions.
Changes will also affect soldier and vehicle spawn points: “we are adjusting the spawn points for attackers and defenders, as well as vehicle availability, to improve dynamics and balance in each sector.”
The Battlefield 6 developers also showed a teaser for the update of two maps, New Sobek City and Blackwell Fields, in Conquest mode. There will be a greater distance between the sides' “headquarters”, additional vertical space to support flanking attacks, and more obstacles on the terrain, more ways to reach rooftops and get closer to desired objectives.
These changes are being tested as part of Battlefield Labs and the updated versions of the maps should appear in the game later.
