Minecraft to get Wilderness Bound update - new biome, disposable bed, and more to be added
Soon players will be able to craft straw beds and more.
Mojang Studios recently announced that the next major update for Minecraft has been named Wilderness Bound (previously known simply as update “26.3”). With it, the developers plan to add a lot of new content to the game.
A new biome called Dappled Forest will appear in Minecraft — it's a forest biome where you can find poplars with red, yellow, and orange leaves, as well as spruces. Also, while exploring, players will be able to find abandoned camps and “jump across numerous mushroom beds.”
Players will be able to craft a new disposable block called a “straw bed.” This bed allows you to skip the night in the Overworld (without moving your spawn point), but it will break when the player wakes up in the morning or gets out of it before falling asleep. From a “wool slab,” players will be able to craft a pillow they can sit on.
Minecraft developers have not yet announced the release date for the Wilderness Bound update. It is expected that the update may be released in the coming weeks.
