Modders Redesign Key Mechanic in The Blood of Dawnwalker

News 0

Before its release, it was known that The Blood of Dawnwalker would have a time limit. However, this is not a typical timer that counts down to a specific moment. In the game, "time" is a resource: there is a certain number of "time slots" per day, which will only be spent on certain decisions and actions.

Some players did not appreciate this mechanic, and since The Blood of Dawnwalker was released not only on consoles but also on PC, the timer issue was resolved by the modding community. First, a simple modification appeared that simply increased the number of days (by default there are 30), and now a more advanced tool has emerged.

A modder under the nickname Noviathan offered players the ability to take time into their own hands: you can set from 8 to 32 "time slots" per day, and the total number of days can be increased to 45, 60, 80, 100, or 9999.

Not all players like that some people use such mods. Noviathan urged respect for other people's choices:

The goal of this mod is simple: to give people the opportunity to enjoy the game at their own pace. Whether you prefer the original time "pressure", a slightly more relaxed gameplay, or want to get much more time – there is no "right" way to play. Please respect how other people prefer to play the game.

The modification "Configurable Extended Days and Time - Including Prologue" for The Blood of Dawnwalker is distributed for free via Nexus Mods.
