It turns out the song from the first GTA VI trailer symbolizes Rockstar Games' "mission"
It took the developers a long time to bring their vision to life.
Several years have passed since the premiere of the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, simply titled "Trailer 1". During this time, fans have rewatched the trailer dozens (or even hundreds) of times and noticed various details.
However, there was one detail that was hidden not in the visuals themselves, but in the musical accompaniment. The video features the song "Love Is a Long Road". Some players believed that this was how the developers symbolized the relationship between the two main characters – Jason and Lucia, but in reality, the creators of the project had a different idea.
Ben (videotech), a well-known Red Dead Redemption and GTA blogger-dataminer, drew attention to an interview with the studio head.
Rob Nelson said that Tom Petty's song "Love is a Long Road" in the first GTA VI trailer was a kind of designation of the studio's "mission" (manifesto), intended to show that Rockstar Games already has a game concept, but it will take time to implement and refine it.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not officially announced anything about the PC version's release window.
Some players hope that in the foreseeable future, a PlayStation 5 emulator will be able to successfully run GTA VI – there have already been significant successes with the previous installment of the franchise.
