Sony, in September 2026, traditionally reminds gamers about upcoming releases. This month has already seen the release of the vampire action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker from The Witcher 3 game director, the basketball simulator NBA 2K27, and a new game from the long-standing Capcom franchise — Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Many other projects are on the way.

- September 17 — Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter — a remake of the classic Japanese role-playing game
- September 22 — Dune: Awakening — a survival RPG in a world with giant sand worms
- September 22 — Well Dweller — a dark fairy-tale metroidvania about a tiny bird armed with a match
- September 24 — Silent Hill: Townfall — a first-person horror game set on St. Amelia Island in 1996
- September 24 — Control Resonant — a new installment in the Remedy Entertainment franchise, where players will explore a distorted Manhattan
