PlayStation Unveils September 2026 Highlights. Sony Releases Schedule of Major Monthly Releases

A PlayStation 5 exclusive, new titles from the Hot Wheels, Minecraft, Silent Hill franchises, and more are coming soon.

Sony, in September 2026, traditionally reminds gamers about upcoming releases. This month has already seen the release of the vampire action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker from The Witcher 3 game director, the basketball simulator NBA 2K27, and a new game from the long-standing Capcom franchise — Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Many other projects are on the way.

List of September PlayStation releases:

• September 8 — Mewgenics — a tactical roguelike from the creator of The Binding of Isaac
• September 8 — Halloween: The Game — a multiplayer horror game based on the famous franchise, but also featuring single-player content
• September 8 — Sprawl Zero — a dynamic shooter inspired by 2000s classics.
• September 10 — BrokenLore: Don't Lie — a Japanese psychological horror in which the authors explore themes of trauma, loneliness, and a fractured reality
• September 10 — Hot Wheels Infinite Rush — a racing game with toy cars
• September 15 — Marvel’s Wolverine — a new Insomniac Games title about the adventures of Wolverine
• September 15 — RuneScape: Dragonwilds — fantasy survival that was released in early access last year, and now version 1.0 is being prepared.

• September 16 — Aniimo — an open-world RPG with creature collecting

• September 17 — Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter — a remake of the classic Japanese role-playing game
• September 22 — Dune: Awakening — a survival RPG in a world with giant sand worms
• September 22 — Well Dweller — a dark fairy-tale metroidvania about a tiny bird armed with a match
• September 24 — Silent Hill: Townfall — a first-person horror game set on St. Amelia Island in 1996
• September 24 — Control Resonant — a new installment in the Remedy Entertainment franchise, where players will explore a distorted Manhattan
• September 29 — Minecraft Dungeons II — an ARPG from the famous franchise
