A "roguelike" about predatory wheeled fortresses has been released on Steam and received very positive reviews
Players praise the early version of Wanderburg.
Randwerk studio and Sidekick Publishing announced in September the release of Wanderburg on PC on Steam in "early access" format.
The new game is positioned as a minimalistic roguelike, set in a medieval world. In Wanderburg, mobile fortresses roam the lands, capable of devouring each other.
Players will be able to install various cannons on their fortress, build arcane towers with mages, and more:
Roll forward and devour everything in your path. Fleeing villages, wandering herds, and smaller fortresses fuel your growth. Defeat mighty enemy castles to continue evolving. Your castle doesn't just get stronger. It gets bigger.
Gradually, players' arsenal in Wanderburg will expand. The developers said that the modular progression system will allow expanding the mobile fortress with new siege modules and structures. It will be possible to unlock new vehicles, artifacts, and more.
The Wanderburg page on Steam is available at the following link. The first reviews of the game are "very positive" — an 81% rating. The authors expect the game to remain in early access for 6 to 12 months, but these terms may be adjusted during development.
