Phantom Blade Zero will surprise players: platinum can be obtained in one playthrough

Phantom Blade Zero will allow players to earn the platinum trophy in a single playthrough, with the real challenge beginning in New Game+ with the "66 Days" mode.

Soulframe Game Director Liang announced that platinum can be earned on any of the three main difficulty levels, including the easiest, Wayfarer. All achievements are designed for a single playthrough so that players can focus on exploring the world.

The real test of skill awaits in “66 Days,” a mode exclusively for New Game+. The save will be completely separate, the game automatically records progress, and previous results cannot be loaded manually. Every mistake becomes final. If the player uses up all available days, they will see a special ending, after which the session ends.

Trophies are not linked to “66 Days,” so you won't have to play through it for platinum. Phantom Blade Zero will also feature 55 types of weapons with a separate development system that affects not only characteristics but also combat style. The game will be released on PC and PS5.
