World of Warcraft: Forever Gameplay - Blizzard Reveals a "New Way" to Play WoW

News

Players can already pre-order one of the editions.

At BlizzCon 2026 in September, developers showcased gameplay for World of Warcraft: Forever. The project is positioned as a "new way" to play WoW (essentially, it will be an expanded version of the game).

Developers will offer players a journey "in a familiar yet new game." They will rework classes, update game systems, the world will receive visual enhancements, and gameplay will also be refined.

Blizzard Entertainment has already opened pre-orders – the "Heroic Skyborn Pack" is available for $30, and the "Epic Skyborn Pack" for $60.

For $80, players can purchase the "Warcraft Forever Collection" – it includes the contents of the Epic Pack and access to Warcraft III: Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom (the strategy game itself + a fresh expansion with a new campaign).

All World of Warcraft: Forever packs will include:

  • Skyborn race + introductory part of the game on Zephris Island
  • Sky-Blue Prideclaw (ground mount)
  • Shen'dorai Skyseer's Attire (transmogrification set)
  • Experienced Adventurer's Backpack (back decoration)
  • Shen'dorai Wind Well (toy)
  • Skyborn-themed decorative items
  • Early name reservation in WoW: Forever
  • Starter code to invite a friend

Expanded packs will include additional bonuses, such as game time (30 days of subscription), tabards, pets, transmogrification sets, mounts, etc.

Beta testing for World of Warcraft: Forever is planned to launch on September 17, with the release expected on November 5, 2026.
