Control Resonant Disc Version to Be Released Later: Remedy Explains Reason

The physical version of Control Resonant will be released on October 15, 2026 - three weeks after the digital release, as Remedy wants to bring the game to the highest possible quality first.

Control Resonant will be one of the notable premieres of the month, but at launch, the game will only be available digitally. The project's art director, Elmeri Raitanen, explained in an interview that the delay of the boxed edition is due to testing and logistics.

We are currently polishing the final details. I think we have definitely passed the most difficult stage... An astonishing number of elements contribute to the perceived quality, the overall atmosphere, and what makes a video game a video game. Pacing, final voice recordings, music, mastering, color correction – these things usually appear at the final stage. Suddenly, the work begins to come alive. We have already seen this magic happen, so now, so close to release, we are mainly focused on bug fixing and technical issues.

The physical edition, of course, is being created. It will appear a little later for purely technical reasons – due to the testing and logistics I mentioned. We wanted to make sure that the game itself would be in the best possible condition, and only then deal with logistics, business, and all schedule-related issues.
