First Look at Real GTA VI Advertising - Without Mentioning Grand Theft Auto

News

Due to restrictions, some promotional materials will be peculiar.

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is approaching, and the marketing campaign for the new installment of the franchise is gradually ramping up.

Several weeks ago, there were reports that representatives from Rockstar Games and Take-Two attempted to negotiate potential advertising placement in Miami – the city could be transformed into Vice City. However, initially, authorities opposed the idea, and it was recently revealed that negotiations for advertising placement were approved, but with specific conditions.

For example, it was reported that the game would be promoted without direct mention of the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise – instead, it was suggested to use subtle advertising, such as indicating the Roman numeral "VI" and "Vice City."

User Joel Franco posted an aerial photo on social media – preparations for advertising placement have already begun: "advertising structures with GTA VI symbols are being prepared in downtown Miami."

Judging by the presented footage, the promotion of Grand Theft Auto VI in Miami will indeed proceed without direct mention of the franchise name.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not officially announced anything about the PC version's release window.
