Sebastian Stan, in an interview with Variety, compared Matt Reeves' "The Batman – Part II" to Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather Part II":
"Sometimes I walk on set and I look around and I'm like, 'I think we're making 'The Godfather Part II' here.' I don't want to overhype it, but I feel like it's going to deliver."
The actor did not specify what exactly lies behind this comparison: plot or atmospheric parallels, or something entirely different. However, Stan seems to have no doubt about the quality of the film.
Sebastian Stan's role itself has not yet been officially revealed. At various times, he has been rumored to play characters from Harvey Dent to Victor Zsasz, but neither Warner Bros. nor director Matt Reeves have commented on these rumors yet.
Filming for "The Batman – Part II" is currently underway in the UK. Robert Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne, and the cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch. The film is scheduled to premiere on February 18, 2028.
