Amazon and her archetypes in Diablo IV revealed - an exclusively female class

The creators of Diablo IV held a special stream dedicated to the future of the game. They discussed the 15th season called Hell's Legacy, as well as a new class.
The Diablo IV team presented concepts for the Amazon. The developers clarified that this will be an exclusively female class and spoke about their approach to creating the image:
Military experience, unparalleled athleticism, and magical powers: these are the three pillars of design that we rely on when working on the new class. The Amazon is a warrior with iron discipline, who in times of trouble calls upon her sisters and Askari ancestors, using a mystical connection with them.
Diablo IV will feature four Amazon archetypes, and a brand new (for the fourth installment) weapon type will appear in the game — the spear:
- Defender: armed with a sword and shield, she strengthens herself and her allies in combat.
- Raider: pierces enemies with her spear and immediately retreats, relying on her agility.
- Patroller: acts tactically, accurately firing at enemies from a distance.
- Leader: commands phalanxes of Valkyries, sending them into battle.
The Amazon is planned to be added to Diablo IV in the first half of 2027.
