Doghowl Games will release a mobile version of Drop Duchy by Sleepy Mill Studio – pre-registration is already open on Google Play and the App Store.
Drop Duchy transforms falling "Tetris" pieces into plots of a medieval duchy. The player places forests, rivers, and plains on the field, positions production buildings, and assembles an army. Along with their own structures, enemy ones fall from above, and the player also has to choose a place for them.
When the field is full, a battle begins. Allied units can be combined, and the order of attacks must be chosen considering the characteristics of archers, swordsmen, and axemen. After the battle, the player moves along a map with forks, replenishes their deck, and upgrades buildings, while completing challenges unlocks new cards and permanent bonuses for subsequent runs.
The mobile version will be distributed under a "try before you buy" model. The game can be downloaded for free to play an introductory segment, and the full version will cost 475 rubles.
Drop Duchy was released on PC on May 5, 2025. On Steam, the game received 89% positive reviews based on almost 3 thousand reviews.
