Recently, lawyers for Denuvo developers finally began attempts to deal with the hacker known in the gaming community as voices38. They filed a lawsuit and will now try to identify the tech enthusiast (or group) through Valve and other companies.
Voices38 himself, apparently, is not worried. He responded to gamers' concerns with one short comment and confirmed his readiness to continue working on cracking Denuvo in video games:
Everything is fine. Everything will continue as before.
The hacker voices38 has long been cracking Denuvo in modern games and not so modern ones. It so happened that earlier in September he cracked several projects at once – including an old KONAMI game:
- Persona 3 Reload (2024)
- Star Wars Outlaws (2024)
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (2024)
- Mortal Kombat 1 (2023)
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (2015)
Denuvo's lawyers accuse voices38 of copyright infringement for bypassing its protection. Judging by voices38's reaction, he is not particularly concerned about the risk of potential identification. It is assumed that he is outside American jurisdiction.
Voices38 has not yet revealed which game he plans to crack next.
