You can play a mystical adventure for free on Steam - Midnight Souls playtest has started

Players will be able to experience the first chapter and various mini-games.

In September, developer Bolshakov Sergey and publisher Spaghetti Cat announced the start of the Midnight Souls playtest. As part of the September playtest, participants will be invited to experience a piece of the mystical adventure.

The events will unfold in the town of Romashkovy Hills. The main character goes there to meet his dream girl from the Internet, but ends up encountering mysticism: “A quiet corner, romance, Charlie the cat in a backpack, and the anticipation of first love. But reality turns out to be much darker.”

The test version of Midnight Souls will feature a fully playable first chapter, allowing exploration of the town day and night (about 6 locations and more than 10 NPCs), as well as dialogues, mini-games, QTEs, puzzles, and other content.

Your application should be approved immediately after clicking the “Request Access” button. This round of playtesting will run until September 22.

Midnight Souls does not yet have a specific release date, but there is a release window – the game is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2027.
