Media Molecule, the studio known for LittleBigPlanet and Dreams, continues to work on its new, as yet unannounced game. According to MP1st sources, the project is planned to be unveiled to the public and released in 2027.
According to the information received, Media Molecule's next game will be a social simulator with elements inspired by series such as Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. However, the project is allegedly not intended as a full-fledged game-as-a-service, although it may include individual elements of such mechanics.
It is not yet known how much the new development will differ from the studio's previous projects. Previously, Media Molecule focused on the creativity of the players themselves: Dreams allowed users to create their own games, scenes, music, and other types of content. However, Sony eventually decided to cease active support for the project approximately three years after its release.
The studio's last full-fledged game remains Dreams, released in 2020.
