Ork-podcaster released Russian voice-over for Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom campaign - it was created using AI
The blogger decided to make an unofficial localization for the RTS.
In September, Blizzard Entertainment returned to Warcraft III Reforged. The developers presented a major update for the real-time strategy, as well as a new premium campaign, Forsaken Kingdom.
However, the developers did not prepare a Russian voice-over, but the community requested a full localization. The blogger orkpod (Ork-podcaster) reacted to the release and offered his solution – he prepared a voice-over using artificial intelligence capabilities:
I have a hobby – in any unclear situation, I voice Warcraft 3 Reforged. So I couldn't pass by the new add-on... Unfortunately, Blizzard didn't make any voice-over other than English for the Forsaken Kingdom add-on, so neural sludge came to the rescue.
Ork-podcaster said that a total of 1655 new lines and eight videos were voiced, and the original units were duplicated in Russian, because "they appear in missions and load English by default."
